Welcome to Earth Week 2010: Again this year, a group of citizens from the surrounding area-representing businesses, education, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies- has decided it's time to get active ... to DO something ... and to invite the rest of the community to join in and begin this journey together.

Valley Earth Week's Goal:
Change people’s behavior in the greater Fargo-Moorhead area to increase environmental stewardship during Earth Week events April 17 - 25, 2010
What is Valley Earth Week?
Valley Earth Week is a committee made up of area citizens, members of non-profit organizations, businesses and agencies, the cities, community utilities and transit systems that aims to provide a gateway for companies and organizations to teach the Red River Valley about ways to live, work and play green.
Why Valley Earth Week?
Valley Earth Week seeks to present information, resources, services, and products that promote healthier, more ecologically sound lifestyles, as well as provide education about the environmental impacts of consumer actions and choices currently in widespread use. |

What does it mean to "go green?" I want to do something, but what can I do?
The theme for Valley Earth Week is "Learn Green, Live Green." Doing things, even little things, to help the environment is not hard, you just need to learn, then live. Check out the pages to learn more!
The Earth Day Network is encouraging a Billion Acts of GreenTM. This effort is focused on the facilitation and cultivation of service on behalf of the planet. The goal is to aggregate the millions of environmental service commitments that individuals and organizations around the world make each year. You matter. |
